Standards Compliance
BMC Academy's website is built in accordance with the guidelines created by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). The site is constructed with valid eXtensible Hypertext Markup Language 1.0 Strict Mode (XHTML 1.0 Strict) defining the content and a series of Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) files determine the layout and presentation of the content.
In developing the website, a major design goal was to meet the most current standards. This goal has been met, and links to the W3C's validation tools are available on almost every page. By meeting these standards, pages on the BMC Academy website now load more quickly and are accessible to the broadest possible audience.
Standards Compliant Browsers
This website is best viewed with browsers of latest releases. The latest versions of Internet Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Mozilla, Camino, Safari, and Opera are standards compliant and they are freely downloadable for the major operating systems.
Older Browsers
This website may not display as intended using older versions of these browsers as they do not fully support CSS. Text browsers such as Lynx would only display the textual content of this website. However, the information in this website is still assessible to users with older version of these browsers but support for some older browsers was simply not possible due to their incomplete support or incorrect implementation of some portions of the standards.
We will continue to update our site to reflect changes in standards development and adoption.
