BMC International College

It is due to the highly qualified and knowledgeable academic staff who made us everything possible and easy for us to achieve our best results. The academic staffs are really friendly and helpful so our confidence grow on what we learn through out the course and eventually the exams won't be a big challenge for us.

The best part that I like about the BMC International College is that the flexibility they provide in approaching students for arranging the class timetables, course fees and attending to students personnel matters. These things make us feel very comfortable and less stressful during our course, specially when we study part time while doing a full time job.

All in all I can say that BMC International college is really carrying the meaning of their theme "We are approachable, achievable and affordable".

I am grateful for BMC and University of Hertfordshire for providing me with a comprehensive but an easy mode of studying opportunity in Singapore. After completing my Diploma in Communication & Automation Electronics from Republic polytechnic,Singapore, I was looking for a well-recognized Bachelors (Hons) Degree programme that could provide me with the best knowledge in a more personalized classroom environment. It needed to be a programme that provides in-depth knowledge in theoretical aspects as well as practicals and most importantly a programme that would provide some financial relief. Many of my friends recomended me BMC as an institute established in 1966 and is well known for its standard and reliable education in Singapore. At BMC the classes were customized to maximize lecturer-student relationship, with nicely fitting classrooms and more interactive sessions. I was able to approach my lecturers anytime to know my progress and clarify doubts. Their amiable personality and encouraging feedback motivated me to study well for this programme. Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Hons) programme was well designed to give ample of hands-on experience in addition to frequently held quizzes and class works. These class-works were helpful for me to improve on my weak areas. My final year project, in which, I produced a line following robot, with the guidence of my FYP Supervisor was an added bonus for my portfolio. Building a Automated robot was a dream coming true to me!

As a Part Time student, it was a huge challenge to balance my studies while working full-time. However, with the immense support from my lecturers & admin staff most of my worries were mitigated. Nevertheless, self-studying was also a crucial part of my success today. With easily accessible BMC laboratories and library facilities I was able to spend more time on self-learning to gain extra knowledge. This was one major factor that resulted a better outcome at the end of my exams. I was able to score the highest possible grades ( Grade A ) for all the subjects and obtain a First Class Honours for BEng (Hons) Electrical and Electronic Engineering, (EEE) programme offered by University of Hertfordshire. I am thankful for BMC for offering such a recognized global university programme in Singapore.

In addition, the admin staff at BMC was also kind and helpful in many ways. They provided me with a plethora of information that helped me clarify my doubts and decide a best payment method. Right after graduating from polytechnic, coming from Sri Lanka, I was unable to finance myself for further studies. Hence, first I was quite disappointed that I may not be able to complete my studies for another 3-4 years. However, generous enough, at BMC School, they provided me an option of paying my fees in monthly instalments, which helped me to get rid of a great burden and pursue my studies, free from worries. I'm thankful for allowing me that opportunity which enabled me to successfully complete my one-year of part-time studies and achieve the best results possible.

At the end of the day, it was all a fulfilling and an enriching experience. I've gained a plethora of knowledge and I'm hoping to maximise all that to pursue my Masters in the near future. I would take this opportunity to be thankful to all my lecturers, staff and specially Head of Engineering at BMC Mr.Bala for all the Supports ,the lifetime opportunity and would highly recommend BMC to all students who would want to pursue their dreams, hassle free. BMC, It was great being with you.!
