Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Computer Science - Final Year
Introduction
BSc(Hons) Computer Science final year (Blended Learning) programme provides the students with an educational experience which matches the requirements of the modern IT industry, whilst responding to the aspirations of the individuals. This degree is directly awarded by University of Hertfordshire, UK, one of the ambitious and enterpreneurial Universities. It offers excellence in teaching, learning and research and puts students at the heart of its activities.

Admission Requirements
Applicants for direct entry to Level 3 from other programmes within the University or elsewhere must have gained a minimum of 240 credits at Levels 1 and 2, including a minimum of 120 credits at Level 2 and are required to demonstrate that their previous studies and experience have provided a broad equivalence to the learning outcomes of Levels 1 and 2 of the programme in the relevant field.
Entry Requirements:
Applicants may hold a variety of qualifications that may include (but are not restricted to):
- Polytechnic diploma in Computer Studies; or Information Technology or closely related subject from polytechnics;
- Relevant Higher National Diploma;
- NCC International Advanced Diploma in Computer Studies;or
- Successful completion of two years of a similar BSc degree programme at another Higher Education institution and other equivalent national and international qualifications.
In addition to the requirements stated above, students entering the programme and whose first language is not English or students whose medium of instruction on their qualifying programme was not English will be required to demonstrate proficiency in English to TOFEL 550/IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent recognized qualification.

Note on the project
The project is a substantial piece of practical work. It typically involves some programming plus many other aspects of computer science, information systems, or software development. You will be allocated a project tutor who will work with you individually, helping and guiding you through the entire project.
Your project enables you to extend and deepen your knowledge of computer science and to apply it in a particular context. You plan and manage the work yourself, with guidance from your project tutor and with the support of course material on key project issues. You will need to report regularly on your progress and to produce a final report at the end.
