BMC Academy organised a community service programme on the 16th of May 2009 as part of our moral obligation to the community. Such activities relate to our belief that community service and volunteerism are very important aspect in society. The major benefit to the School is the opportunity to involve our staff in volunteering their time and effort in helping those less fortunate than them.
This time round, volunteers from BMC Academy visited Darul Ihsan Orphanage, which house school going orphans. The volunteers gave out hampers and spend time mingling and helping around with the residences from the orphanage.
Each project creates a learning opportunity for everyone involved, and from this community service work, staff develop confidence, compassion and self-reliance. It also helps staff to form habits of community service and volunteerism.
