DESCRIPTION. This the annual Singapore-Cambridge General Certificate of Education (Advanced Level) Examination conducted in Singapore. The examination bodies are the Ministry of Education, Singapore and the University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate.

A new A-Level curriculum was introduced in 2006. Syllabus were revised for breadth of learning and flexibility. The examination has been redesigned so that subjects can be taken at three levels: H1, H2 and H3.

H2 is equivalent to the previous Singapore-Cambridge GCE A-Level subjects in terms of academic demand and rigour. An H1 subject has about half the content of H2, but the content would be studied to the same depth as it is at H2.

• Preparatory Course for GCE ‘A’ Level (Physics AND Chemistry)

  This A-Level programme comes with both Science subjects, Physics and Chemistry for both H1 and H2 levels. Additional subjects include Arts and Mother Tongue Language (MTL). This programme is available to both local and international students.

• Preparatory Course for GCE ‘A’ Level (Physics OR Chemistry)

  This A-Level programme offers students to opt for either Physics or Chemistry. Additional subjects include Arts and Mother Tongue Language (MTL). This programme is available to both local and international students.

  Availability: Full-Time & Part-Time

• Preparatory Course for GCE ‘A’ Level (Without Science)

  This 'A' Level programme does not include the Science subjects (Physics/Chemistry). This part-time programme is only available to local students.

  Availability: Part-Time Only

• Preparatory Course for GCE ‘A’ Level - Science Practical Only (Physics OR Chemistry)

  This is an ideal programme for students who wish to further improve their science practical (H2 Chemistry and H2 Physics). This part-time programme is open for public, existing BMC students and only for local students.
