Course Withdrawal and Refund of Fees

Withdrawal for Cause

The Student shall be entitled to immediately withdraw from the course by giving written notice to BMC Academy of his intention to do so under the following circumstances:

• The BMC Academy fails, for any reason, to commence the course on the commencement date.
• The BMC Academy fails, for any reason, to complete the course on the completion date;
• The BMC academy terminates the course for any reason prior to the completion of the course; or
• The BMC Academy is in material breach of its obligations under the terms and conditions of the agreement in the student contract.

Refunds for Withdrawal for Cause

The BMC Academy, shall, as soon as practicable after receiving the Student’s Notice of withdrawal refund to the student within fourteen days;

• The entire amount of the tuition fees
• The Non-tuition Fees and /or Additional Fees

Withdrawal Without Cause & Refunds

1. Request for course withdrawal must be made in writing and directed to the Student Support Services Manager. Any request for withdrawals through telephone shall not be entertained.
2. Where the student withdraws from the course for any reason other than those set out under ‘Withdrawal for Cause’, BMC Academy, shall, within fourteen (14) days after receiving the Student’s written notice of withdrawal, refund to the student the paid course fee according to the following table:

   More than 60 days before the Commencement Date.	100%
   Between 30 days and 60 days before the Commencement Date.	75%
   Not more than 30 days before the Commencement Date.	25%
   Not more than 14 days after the Commencement Date. This also applies to students who defer and subsequently withdraw from the programme.	10%
   More than 14 days after the Commencement Date.	0

3. Bank administrative charges that are payable/paid will be deducted from the refund amount payable to the student.

Refund

Non-tuition Fees - Refund Policy

Non-Tuition Fees	Percentage of Refund
Registration Fee	One time payment to BMC at that time of registration. NOT REFUNDABLE.
SPS Processing Fee/Bank Fee	Fee chargeable by the Escrow Bank for payment of tuition fee into the Escrow Account. NOT REFUNDABLE.
Course Material Fee	100% if the withdrawal notice is received at least 1 day before the course starts. 50% if the withdrawal notice is received between 1 and 14 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 25% if the withdrawal notice is received between 15 and 30 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 0% if the withdrawal notice is received 30 days after the course has started.
Continual Assessment Fee	100% if the withdrawal notice is received at least 1 day before the course starts. 50% if the withdrawal notice is received between 1 and 14 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 25% if the withdrawal notice is received between 15 and 30 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 0% if the withdrawal notice is received 30 days after the course has started.
Examination Fee	Paid to the respective external examination boards. NOT REFUNDABLE. Students may request to transfer an examination session if they are unable to sit for it. The approval is subject to the respective Examinations Board.
Laboratory Fees (Computer and/or Science practical)	100% if the withdrawal notice is received at least 1 day before the course starts. 50% if the withdrawal notice is received between 1 and 14 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 25% if the withdrawal notice is received between 15 and 30 days after the course has started and the student has not received any course material. 0% if the withdrawal notice is received 30 days after the course has started.
Student Membership Fee	100% if withdrawal notice is received within 14 days after the course has started. 0% if withdrawal notice is received 14 days after the course has started.
Insurance	Payable per academic year or per course, if applicable. NOT REFUNDABLE.
